WEEKLY INCIDENT REPORT

22/08/2011 - 04/09/2011

  • Bossie's Justice coordinated various responses after numerous house robberies during the past 2 weeks. Residents are urged to be vigilant. A definite spike in these crimes are noted.     We have gathered information from various sources regarding the above mentioned criminal activity, and together with the SAPS leads will be investigated. We urge people to join our effort. We can make an even greater difference if we can secure more manpower.
  • Theft from motorvehicles are still problematic. This is very difficult to police, seeing that this is an opportunistic crime. Therefore, please keep valuables out of would be criminal's site.     Handbags etc should be kept in the boot of the vehicle, or hidden underneath a seat.   Don't go looking for your stolen goods by yourself. Even if someone phones to let you know that your stolen goods were found, ask a security company or BOSSIE'S JUSTICE to accompany you.
  • Various crime prevention exercises are planned for the coming weeks in conjunction with security companies and the SAPS.
  • Bossie's Justice responded to numerous crime scenes. We have noted that lighting around houses are mostly inadequate. Decent lights around your home serves as a deterrent to would be criminals! Dense vegetation around your house also creates ample space for criminals to hide. Please ensure that your house/stand number is clearly visible from the road. We have found that in some instances we have difficulty locating properties.
  • Bossie's Justice, in conjunction with the SAPS, are planning various operation on shebeens,  since criminals use these to plan crimes.
